It was a busy Saturday afternoon in the dog park as Jenny from Malibears K9 Trainig led the next in our series of fun, free dog training classes.
A lovely mix of dogs (and owners) of all ages came along to get some easy tips on improving recall, basic training, following the outdoor access code and how to keep you dog on its best behaviour while you're out and about. There'll be another training day in November, and you can pick up your copy of the Outdoor Access Code (full of tips for dog owners) from the Visitor Centre any time.
Earlier in the morning we'd been out in the park with Steve Willis from Saving Scotland's Red Squirrels, searching for signs of the squirrels at Haddo. After a bit of a wet start, the squirrels came out in force as it got drier and we managed to see at least 12 in less than two hours.
If you're wondering why we've not mentioned our Hallowe'en Horror Party in all our of events chat, it's because all of the tickets are completely sold out and we've got quite a waiting list in case of cancellations! There won't be a Witches Tea Party this year, but if you're after some festive fun for kids, then look out for our Kid's Christmas Bushcraft on 15th November.
We have a bit of a break from events next weekend, although that's mostly just a chance to catch our breath before the Christmas Craft Fair on the first weekend of November. This Sunday is also your last chance to visit the house before it closes for the winter. The shop and NTS tearoom also switch to winter opening after Sunday and will be open weekends only until the spring.
If you've been to Haddo this year (we hope at least some of you have!) then we'd love to know all about your experience- where you went, what you liked, what you didn't, and anything we can do to make your next trip even better.
If you'd like to give let us know all about your experience of Haddo then you can now fill in our visitor survey online (you can also fill in a paper copy of the survey in the visitor centre). Just click the link below, and thank you for your help!
