We've just about recovered from all the fun at Christmas and we're looking forward to a brand new year here at Haddo.
The first job of the new year is to start planning all of our events for the next twelve months. We've got a couple of things on the calendar already- including more bushcraft for kids, the return of Erskine's Regiment, night-time owl and bat walks, art courses, vintage motorbikes and the Scottish Nature Photography exhibition.
However, there are still plenty of gaps on the calendar, and we'd love to hear your suggestions on events or activities you'd like to see at Haddo in 2015. More family events, more concerts, or something we've never done before... We can't promise we'll be able to run everything you suggest but we'll definitely try our best to do as much as we can!
Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society are starting rehearsals for a very special concert in the Aberdeen Music Hall on March 15th and they're looking for a few extra singers to help fill out the chorus for the performance. If you've ever fancied trying classical singing then this is the ideal time to get involved!
There are no auditions and everyone is welcome, although to be part of the Aberdeen concert you must be able to commit to performance and rehearsal dates. You can find all the details on the HHCOS Facebook page or at www.hhcos.org.uk
If you're looking for a little bit of magic to brighten up the winter, then bring the kids to a fairy tale performance of Rumplestiltskin on Tuesday 13th. This performance by Northumberland Theatre Company promises to be funny, musical, enchanting and maybe just a little bit scary... Tickets are available on the NTS website or by calling 0844 4932179.
