When all the visitors have left and only the residents remain, a stream of headlights wend their way down the drive at Haddo every Thursday evening to fill the Haddo car park
In these vehicles are a mixture of men, women, girls and boys who all have one thing in common - they love singing.
Nearly 70 years ago the then residents of Haddo House started a tradition of music and singing that continues today and hopefully will do for many years to come.
Music and 'the arts' are part of the wonderful legacy gifted to the National Trust for Scotland and Haddo by the Gordon family.
In a break from tradition HHCOS is not producing its own opera this year however we are delighted to announce that Opera Bohemia will be treading the boards in Haddo House Hall, for one night only, on Wednesday 20th May with their exciting production of Madama Butterfly and members of HHCOS will be providing the off-stage chorus including the ever popular Humming Chorus.
Tickets will be on sale shortly - watch this space...
Haddo House Choral and Operatic Society has approximately 80 members from all walks of life who have something in common - music. The society has evolved over the years but still has an open doors policy of no auditions.
All newcomers are made most welcome so do come along one Thursday evening if you share their interest...
