There's been plenty of sparkle on show at Haddo this week as we made the most of the Arts Festival Lighting on our photography workshops...
On Saturday evening we were lucky enough to have clear skies and starlight to photograph but, on a slightly overcast Sunday, the wonderful portable lighting from Granite City Events really came into its own.
Thanks to everyone who came along to the workshops, and to Cain Scrimgeour for leading them brilliantly as always. We're probably going to run more sessions in June and we're always looking for new workshop themes, so if there are any particular photography topics you'd like to cover then why not let us know and we'll see what we can arrange!
The Red Squirrels have been exceptionally busy at our feeding hide over the past couple of weeks. We had up to five hanging around for the wildlife photography sessions at the weekend, often having a couple on a box at the same time.
This Wednesday we had a visit from Steve Willis from Saving Scotland's Red Squirrels who helped up put up the feeding station back in June last year. We had a great morning out with about 20 visitors, all of whom managed to spot at least one squirrel around the hide.
If you'd like to donate any food -peanuts, hazelnuts, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, apples, carrots- or if you have any deer antler or cuttlefish bones which the squirrels use to sharpen their teeth then you can drop it off at the visitor centre any time. All very much appreciated!
