ACRO (Aberdeen Chamber Recorder Orchestra) was formed in 2008 by Edward Friday, inspired by his experiences with Recorders Incorporated and as leader of the Scottish Recorder Orchestra. The group originally comprised of players from the Aberdeen branch of the Society of Recorder Players (of which he is musical director) and former members of Cantores ad Portam, Renaissance Recorder Consort at the University of Aberdeen.
